Here is today’s prayer:
This is the message we have heard from God and proclaim to you, that God is light and in God there is no darkness at all.
If we walk in the light, as God is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus the Son cleanses us from all sin.
May it be so. In Christ’s name we pray. Amen.
-1 John 1:5, 7, Alt (BOW 476b-Italics are my added words)

Therefore, they are a teaching element here on the internet that serves to reinforce lessons that are being taught in classes and sermons throughout the Lenten season. Hi, Russell: In preparation for the study I am doing with Richard Prather, I am studying M. Robert Mulholland's The Deeper Journey. Using Psalm 131, he reminds us that we "constantly play god in our lives and the lives of others. His prayer is,"O Lord, let my heart not be proud....nor haughty my eyes....Let me not go after things too great nor marvels beyond me....Truly help me set my soul in silence and in peace, like a weaned child at my mother's breast."
Blessings, Suzanne
